NAT Video Master Class - ITB Syndrome
ITB Syndrome - Trigger Point Master Class
Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS) is one of the most common overuse injuries among runners, but anyone can be affected ...
This condition occurs when the IT band, the ligament that runs down the outside of the thigh from the hip to the shin, becomes inflamed or tight.
When the IT band stops functioning correctly, the knee quickly becomes painful, especially during movement. In many cases the pain will be severe enough to sideline a runner for weeks, or even longer.
Whilst the condition is so common in runners, it is not restricted to runners alone.
Learning the protocols to assess and treat ITB Syndrome is extremely valuable for every massage/manual therapist.
